  3. DETAILED PROGRAM DESCRIPTION:
  4. It's a Crime! is a computer-moderated play-by-mail game that has been in
  5. operation for the past 3 years. It is the most popular play-by-mail game
  6. in the world.
  7.  
  8. The It's a Crime! utility program was developed by a player to assist in
  9. managing the large amount of game related information received each turn.
  10.  
  11. When you run this program you are greeted with several introductory screens
  12. describing the program, and It's a Crime! in general. Upon entering the program
  13. a map of the game appears on your screen. For a more detailed version of the
  14. map you may (Z)oom in to a different scale.

  16. The program contains numerous menu selections to assist a player in completing
  17. a game turn.  It performs automatic %gang calculations, chooses the best blocks
  18. on which to perform certain actions, assists you in filling out your orders,
  19. and even prints a turn card to be submitted.

  23. WHO IS THE INTENDED USER: Current players of It's a Crime! as well as anyone
  24. interested in gaming. Files are included which introduce the user to
  25. play-by-mail gaming. The entire rulebook of the game and some sample positions
  26. are included on the disk. If a user wants to try it out he can use one of these
  27. sample positons to submit a turn. Adventures By Mail will then send him a free
  28. copy of the rulebook and two free turns to try the game.

  30. Adventures By Mail offers this program as a service to its players. We also
  31. distribute copies to interest new players in trying a play-by-mail game. Bruce
